  4. Aligning the Instrument

  7. Next look through the eyepiece and 
  8. sweep the instrument side to side to 
  9. find the reflection of the mires from 
  10. the cornea and to horizontally align 
  11. the instrument.  The proper alignment 
  12. is when the crosshair is in the center 
  13. of the lower-right (center) circle.  To 
  14. achieve the proper vertical alignment, 
  15. use the controls described on the 
  16. previous screen.

  18. When this alignment is achieved, lock 
  19. the instrument so it will not move up 
  20. or down or from side to side (lock 
  21. knob on left side).

  23. The movie shows aligning the instrument to take a measurement as previously described as well as showing how to rotate it for axis.
